The experience differs from person to person. So it is better to ask a local about the place as opposed to blindly following just the reviews.

Don’t waste your time on all the tried and tested things Vacations are a time when you get out of your comfort zone and explore new things and places.

These may include trying a new activity such as eating spicy food, rock climbing or going out and meeting new people. The activities do not have to be dangerous but it should make you come out of your cocoon.
