“Travel 2 Pakistan Day” Celebration in Lahore

May 4th was dedicated to the tourism industry in Pakistan with a “Travel 2 Pakistan Day” celebration.

The event was held in Lahore, the heart of Pakistan and the city of food lovers. It took place at Al Hamra Cultural Complex, Qaddafi Stadium.

It was attended by tour operators and different tourism organizations in Pakistan. Several renowned personalities were invited as guest speakers who belonged to different sectors.

These included TV anchors, Travelogue writer, sports personnel and government officials. Founder & CEO of Netsol, Mr. Salim Ghauri as well as travelogue writer, Mr. Farrukh Sohail Goindi were the chief guests of the event.

The event was joined by many popular Pakistani celebrities who came to support domestic tourism and travel industry of Pakistan.

The organizers took this event on social media with a storm. The hashtags #travel2Pakistan and were introduced for the general public to share the beauty of Pakistan through pictures.

Many people actively participated in sharing mesmerizing photos of our country using the mentioned hashtags. Apart from social media, a web portal namely “PK Travel” was launched on the same day.

It aims to facilitate the domestic and international tourists in Pakistan. Any information a tourist is looking for would be available on “PK Travel”.

We believe that this was a great step on part of the organizing committee as everyone has realized the importance of domestic tourism as well as the awe-inspiring places to visit and cherish in Pakistan.
