Pakistan Railways to Introduce E-Ticketing

As much as we thought that E-commerce is an emerging industry throughout the world, now has also majorly started adopting the e-commerce trends.

Recent news tells us that the Pakistan Railway has planned on introducing electronic ticketing (E-ticketing) system during this year. “The work is almost complete and this service will be operational soon”.

The banking entity that has partnered with Pakistan Railways in this initiative is United Bank Limited. They later plan to invite more A-class banks to provide their services regarding E-ticketing.

This will be done in order to cater to competitive charges. Apart from moving the booking process online to make it easier for the travelers, around PKR 65 million has been spent on the up-gradation of the Karachi Express Train and in the introduction of several other modern facilities.

The ministry, however, believes that there is always a high amount of money spent in providing better services, which they don’t mind. The best part for travelers is that the fare for the ticket is still the same.

This means that you don’t have to go through the tiresome activity to get yourself a ticket booked, but can conveniently do it online.
