Katooray Lake is one of the largest and beautiful lake in Jehaz Banda as well as in Khyber Pakhtun Khwa. It is surrounded by the snow-covered mountain.

The lake is in round shape and contained beautiful flowers and greenery in its premises.

The lake was famous due to many folk stories in the past.

The people in past believe that on every Friday a utensil used for drinking water called “Katooray” in Pashto appear and due to this fiction story it is named as “Katooray Lake” The lake had contributed a huge amount of water to river Pankora.
