Hawke’s Bay Named after a Governor from Victorian era, Hawke’s Bay or Hawkesbay is situated 20 km away south-west of Karachi. A very popular beach amongst beach lovers, Hawkes Bay is a sandy beach with crystal blue water.
It is one of the few beaches of the world where green turtles, one of the rarest species of reptiles, come and lay their eggs.
Turtle Beach Located between Hawke’s Bay and Sandspit, this beach is another breeding spot for rare green turtle species. You can spot these turtles creeping in and out of the sea usually after sunset in the winter months. The enchanting blue water is one of the main attractions of this beach.
Sandpit Beach The name of the beach was derived from the pits where turtles lay their eggs. These pits can be easily seen in winter months. To promote awareness among people regarding the rare species of Green turtle, World Wide Fund has set up a Wetland Center at Sandspit Beach.
Varieties of other marine species such as crabs and algae can also be found on this beach. From October to March the sea is very calm at Sandspit but very rough during monsoon season. Cape Mount Cape Monze beach is better known as Cape Mount. It is located near Mubarak Village.
The place has been a distance marker for ships approaching the Karachi Harbor. Although there are not many huts available, they are a lot of activities that one can do including camel riding, horseback riding and beach buggies Tushan Beach The beach is a good spot if you are looking for some alone time. As the beach ends into huge rocks at the foot of the hills giving an effect of privacy to its visitors.
