Government issues licenses to Private Airlines for services in Northern Areas

Many would have been surprised to find that the now new Prime Minister Imran Khan placed special emphasis on tourism, and with good reason too.

The country is blossoming with some stunning areas of beauty, zest, and ambiance that are just begging to be explored by people not only in Pakistan but around the globe.

Taking that into consideration, the new government has taken some amazing steps to ensure that part of the manifesto continues, with the introduction of licenses to aircrafts taking guests across northern areas. Choppers to Northern Areas: The Prime Minister has also decided to issue licenses to privatized aircraft to commence helicopter services to northern areas.

The separate category of the license will be issued in order to promote licenses and will be known as Tourism Promotion and Regional Integration (TPRI). The following are the features and restrictions that were presented yesterday. Only northern area locations will be available for travel. Airfare of the service will be comparatively lower. Initially, licenses will be issued for two tourist destinations. The initial license will be available within two months No route deviation is allowed.

New aviation policy to be introduced, including ensuring helicopter services on a commercial basis for flying local and foreign tourists to destinations in the north at a reasonable cost. According to the TPRI, these new policies are set to take place as soon as this month over the next cabinet meeting.

Safe to say things are really looking up for tourism in Pakistan again and with Imran Khan at the helm, It's predicted to only get better with new avenues constantly being opened up for people living abroad.
